Ready for OBS & Stream Deck
Every one of these already meets the spec above. Pick the OBS & Stream Deck download on any sound and it arrives correctly encoded — no re-exporting.
The loudness problem, solved at source
The single most common complaint about stream soundboards is not the sounds themselves — it is that one alert is twice as loud as the rest. That happens because sounds get collected from a dozen different places, each mastered to a different level, and no one goes back and levels them.
Every sound on this site is normalised at upload, and the OBS preset additionally limits to −3 dBTP. That headroom means even several sounds firing at once cannot clip your broadcast mix.
Adding sounds to OBS
Add a Media Source, point it at the WAV, and untick "Restart playback when source becomes active" if you want to trigger it manually. Then bind a hotkey under Settings → Hotkeys.
For Stream Deck, the Sound Deck or the built-in multimedia action will play a local file directly. WAV is the safest format because there is no decode delay — an MP3 can add tens of milliseconds before the sound starts, which is noticeable when the trigger is a button press.
Keeping it out of your VOD
If you route soundboard audio into your main desktop audio track it will end up in your VOD and in every clip. Put it on its own audio track in OBS's Advanced Audio Properties so you can exclude it from recording separately from the stream.
