What to include

A formal notice is helpful but not required — if you made a sound and you want it gone, plain English is enough. If you are filing formally, include:

  • The URL of each sound in question.
  • A description of the work you hold rights in.
  • Your contact details.
  • A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are authorised to act.

If it is your voice

You do not need to own a copyright to ask. If a clip contains your voice and you would rather it was not here, that is sufficient — email us and it comes down.

If you want credit instead

Removal is not the only option. If you made a sound and would rather have it credited with a link back to your channel, we will do that instead — say which you would prefer.
